Intel has a neat new ad that, if you opt to click on it, displays a vision of the New York Times as it might look in 2040.

It’s cute (though I’m not sold on the logotype), and reminiscent of the back page of Wired magazine that used to be so cool. But the designer in me instantly reacted and thought: it’s impossible to foresee how the web will be laid out and consumed nearly 30 years from now. At the very least, I sure hope we discover something cooler than a three-column layout in the next three decades.
