This series of photos was posted with captions like “if this doesn’t make you sad, you have no heart.”
I don’t understand why these photos are sad, at least from the dog’s terms. This is incredible, it’s heartwarming. Yes, it’s a sad situation, but that dog is kicking ass. Go him or her.
If anything’s sad, it’s that a bunch of people appear to be standing around taking pictures, but not helping. Perhaps someone already called animal control, or these are the very people who wound up helping after they took the photos. But it would’ve been awesome to see a 5th shot of some nice person or a professional doing something for the dogs instead of just making an Internet spectacle out of them.
