“And I can see Russia from my house!”
Tina Fay’s humor and acting have gotten even better after adventuring away from SNL. But it’s great to see her do something like this back there.
Update: NBC had the clip removed from YouTube, but they posted a much higher quality version.
College Humor produced a Sarah Palin parody based on Matt Damon’s comment that her presidency would be like a bad Disney movie. The title “Head of Skate” should say it all. Hilarious.

My Fox 5 News hides subliminal John & Cindy McCain photos in logo promo.
Despicable on many levels, especially since I believe subliminal advertising like this (never mind direct candidate support from a news publication) was outlawed somewhere in the 80s or 90s.
SNL rocks another Sarah Palin parody with a Katie Couric interview rehash.
Sigur Ros’ “Glósóli” music video is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen
I know the translated lyrics that I pasted below might tell a different story, but I’ve always read the music video as a story about people who find their rhytm in life. The thing they were born, or have always dreamt, of doing.
Then they get the courage to take the leap.
Lyrics translated from Lyrics Mania:
Glowing Sun (Bright Sun)
Now that you’re awake
Everything seems different
I look around
But there’s nothing at all
Put on my shoes, I then find that
She is still in her pyjamas
Then found in a dream
I’m hung by (an) anticlimax
She is with the sun
And it’s out here
But where are you…
Go on a journey
And roam the streets
Can’t see the way out
And so use the stars
She sits for eternity
And then climbs out
She’s the glowing sun
So come out
I awake from a nightmare
My heart is beating
Out of control…
I’ve become so used to this craziness
That it’s now compulsory
And here you are…
I’m feeling…
And here you are,
Glowing sun…
And here you are,
Glowing sun…
And here you are,
Glowing sun…
Take On Me: Literal Video Version
Best part: “This guy’s gonna get an ass full of pipe wrench!”
“There are three things I think all citizens should do: smoke cigarettes, vote for John McCain, and not wear seat belts.”

I’m glad next year’s impending analog-to-digital TV conversion should be this simple. I was worried for a second.
Clint Ecker is benchmarking various heavy games on Vista for Ars Technica’s upcoming review of the new MacBook Pros. For anyone interested in having the best of both worlds of a Mac and a capable gaming rig, this is a great video to watch.
Palin—the real one—opens for SNL.
A fairly funny skit, and I’m not bothered that they didn’t give Palin much to do here. She’s a politician, not an actress. I think she did well, and the fact that she showed up here at all (yes, it’s a publicity stunt. Duh) conveys quite the sense of humor on Palin’s part.
Besides, if anyone’s acting stunk here, it was Baldwin’s.
Colin Powell makes not only an intelligent statement of his endorsement of Obama, but a conscious criticism of how dirty and disgraceful American politics have become during this campaign.
